Hoping to be in my sewing room soon.

I havent been doing any sewing myself lately. But it has been calling out to me. I have been helping a friend who has had a hip replacement. It does me a lot of good to give back. So often I have had to depend on others.
I have been reading a lot of blogs though in the afternoons. I love how everyone is posting their gardens. It is so hot here It is hard to get outside. I have a deer that lives at the tree line in back of out house.
She has eaten on everything I have planted. I feel sorry for her because she has a fawn that she is taking care of. But my hostas sure were nice for a while. sniff sniff. I hope to have some tomato, cucumbers and peppers
soon. I saw an armadilla the other for the first time. It also was digging in my garden and eating my figs. Well when you live out in the country you have varments. So I hope the next time I post I will have something to show.
Oh and that armadilla was way bigger than my dog.

Not much sewing going on around here.

I thought I would post some pictures of some things in my garden before they burn up. I have to get out
early to water. We have a veggie garden also. It has been in the 90's here for days and days in a row.
But I should be Blessed because of all of the bad bad weather everywhere else.
I love the birds in my yard I try and keep food and water out for them. And also the humming birds.
If I wasn't dealt a body with bad joints I probably would do something to do with nature. I love outside and taking care of my garden which every year has gotten so small.
I hope I will get blooms on my Lotus big and small this year. If I do I will post.  I love all the little creatures that live in my Lotus containers.
The cement container in the last picture I made. I got the directions out of Southern Living years ago. I have had it years.
Now with all of that said I have been doing hand work inn front of the T.V.. I love to embroidery on pillow cases for gifts. But I do need to get back in the sewing room. I am in that rut that every quilter goes through.
I think it is the unbearable heat. Heck I don't know. I know that my sewing machine is calling to me.
These days I'm taking things stitch by stitch. Hope you do too.

Collections

I have a bunch of talented Bee Sisters. I love when I am given something handmade. The top one is my sewing Angel that watches over my sewing room. Isnt she wonderful? The second picture is my collection of
Jim Shore Angels. I love these Angels. And I think everyone is crazy about Jim Shore Things. The third
picture is a Bee Wall Hanging.  When I look at these wonderful things in my sewing room I think of who gave it to me.  So nice. The ribbon next to the Bee wallhanging is a second place ribbon I won for a Quilt challenge ( alson made by a Bee sister). Does anyone else collect anything? I cold collect everything Jim Shore.
